Camineo is the result of several R&D programmes originated by the four society co-founders since 1998, the EADS Group associates at that time.
In 2005, their start-up project received an award for innovation from the French Ministry of Research as part of the national aid competition for new businesses.
Camineo is a simplified joint stock company with a capital of 80 000 €. Founded in June 2005, it has kept increasing ever since and set standards in location based information delivery and mobile guides.
