The multimedia guide for tourism

New innovating project integrating Augmented reality

Camineo Magellium'Toura', a project supported by Magellium and Camineo, has been selected by Laperouse committee, representatives of Midi-Pyrenees region. This initiative aims at developing services and applications using space technologies and satellite positioning systems.

The firms will set up a mobile travel guide integrating vision-based augmented reality. When the tourist will walk and point his smartphone on a monument, he will get informations on it in real time .


New special event application soon

MidinnovCamineo and CDV Événements have been chosen to conceive Midinnov's mobile application, an innovation fair in Midy-Pyrenees. This 5th Edition will take place near Toulouse on January the 31th. With this application, visitors will review presentations of the 150 exhibitors, consult the workshops agenda, stay up-to-date on event news. They can also participate to a treasure hunt inside the main hall.


SmarTrip, a Treasure hunt made in Toulouse

Camineo has created, in partnership with the Toulousian agency CDV Evénements, SmarTrip a treasure hunt in the heart of « la Ville Rose ». Its goal : reveal the Toulousian Spirit to American business tourism professionals from Red White Blue, who came for a congress organized by Atout France and SoToulouse.

The 11th of november, 80 people took part to this special event. The 10 teams looked for the QR code hidden in the city. Guided by their smartphones, the players solved a couple of enigmas before reaching the Capitole (Toulouse's town hall), the last step of the day.

New route for our 'Handi e-coguide' - coming soon!

Handi e-coguide for visually impaired visitorsCamineo is currently preparing a new route to allow blind and visually impaired visitors to Mercantour National Parc (in the South East of France) to explore the larch forest more independently.
For this project, Camineo is working in partnership with the Valentin Haüy association, which strives for the recognition of visually impaired people's rights and the development of their everyday autonomy. The launch of this Handi e-coguide route is planned for Spring 2012.


New iPhone applications

Five applications for iPhone, designed by Camineo, are already available on Appstore. These apps display many functionalities : gps audio tours, geolocalised itineraries, interactive map, games... Other applications for iPhone et Android are coming soon.

Explora, the GPS audioguide of Parks Canada

Camineo won an international public tender invitation to create the GPS video guide Explora for Parks Canada, released during the Summer of 2008.

Camineo's reliability and technological advancements were the main reasons why the Canadian Agency for Historic Sites and Natural Parks chose this platform for their first multimedia guide.


Free trekking near Paris

GPS digital guide ParisAs part of the launch of its multimedia guide, the Natural Park de la Haute-Vallée (High Valley) of Chevreuse near Paris is providing this new GPS digital audio guide for free during the cultural event “Les Journées du Patrimoine” on the 20-21 September 2008.

The Natural Park suggests four routes guided with to discover the rich cultural and natural heritage within 30 km of the French capital.

The guides are available from the park office: Château de la Madeleine in Chevreuse.
